The sherwani
The centre of the Baraat. Long-line, high-collared and embroidered by hand, then cut to your measurements in our atelier.
Ivory and antique gold
Ivory silk worked with floral zardozi from collar to hem, worn with a deep red turban and ivory shalwar.
Black, with a maroon shawl
A black sherwani carried under a velvet shawl edged in gold. Made for an evening Baraat and the flash of a hundred cameras.
Ivory under black velvet
Ivory raw silk beneath a black velvet shawl heavy with zardozi. Finished with a cane, if you wish.
Midnight blue
Navy with gold embroidery gathered at one shoulder and the cuffs, worn over ivory trousers.
Champagne and crimson
A champagne sherwani embroidered all over, under a crimson velvet shawl.
Pale gold, all over
Self-embroidered in fine vertical bands. Light enough for a daytime Nikah.
How yours is made
Plan on about ten weeks for a bespoke piece. If the wedding is sooner, the store holds a ready collection that we alter to fit.
- ConsultationAn hour in the store with a stylist. We talk through the three days, your colours and your family’s, and pull pieces from the collection to try.
- Drawing and fabricYour piece is drawn, the fabric chosen and the embroidery placed on paper before a single stitch is made.
- FittingsA first fitting in toile, then the finished piece. The turban and khussas are matched and tried with it.
- CollectionPressed, packed and handed over in the store, with a final look in the mirror.
